Across from the Natural History Museum is the well-named Naturalist’s Gate, where this class meets before setting out on a walk through the Ramble. We make our classroom in Tupelo Meadow, a small clearing surrounded by boulders that are ideal for noive mountain climbers and by wooded paths that are renowned for birdwatching.
