Brooklyn Forest is seeking a forest school teacher to help guide our outdoor parent-child classes five mornings a week during our summer season, from July through August. At forest school, we strive to nurture the whole child. We want each child's first class to be filled with wonder. The starting wage is $26/hr with paid training, plus a transportation stipend and paid sick days.

We value creativity, a high level of attention to detail, and hard work. We are seeking like-minded individuals who are up for the hard, yet invigorating work of a forest school teacher. Potential candidates must be flexible and exhibit a willingness to perform any job, be it crouching low to the ground to build tiny houses made of leaves and sticks, getting down in the dirt to make mud pies, or lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree
1 year + of experience working with young children
Coursework in Early Childhood Education a plus
Demonstrated ability to sing and speak in front of groups
Must be available mornings Monday through Friday
