Covid Response

We believe we all benefit from coming together safely during this ongoing health crisis. To protect ourselves and our community, we ask all eligible community members to become vaccinated. Until the children in our classes are eligible for vaccines, forest school will run differently to avoid high-risk encounters during class. Our goal is to make sure zero transmissions occur during our classes. 

In the fall of 2020 we completed a detailed COVID-safe plan for the New York Forward reopening process, which is available to any enrolled family upon request. The following is a summary of the measures we will be taking to protect our community:

• All forest school employees are fully vaccinated. 

• Forest school teachers will have hand sanitizer available for use. Water and soap will be available for parents and caregivers to wash their children’s hands. 

• Snack time will be physically distanced. 

• We will not hold hands during circle time but will gather in a well-spaced circle.
